Unhenged Coffee Shop & Cafe sits comfortably on Beckhampton Rd, Marlborough, offering a relaxed spot to pause whether you’re cycling through the Wiltshire countryside or popping in from nearby Avebury Stone Circle. This cafe is a local staple for anyone looking to enjoy straightforward, satisfying food without fuss, backed by good coffee and a friendly atmosphere that feels welcoming from the moment you arrive.

The cafe attracts a mix of visitors—locals settling in for breakfast, groups on weekend rides, and travelers seeking a break from more tourist-heavy venues. Ample parking and easy access make it convenient for those arriving by car or motorcycle. Inside, the vibe leans casual with a communal buzz that picks up mid-morning, when the space tends to fill with both regulars and day-trippers.

Menu options cover classic cafe territory with a few thoughtful touches like gluten-free cakes and a full English breakfast that hits the spot. For lighter meals, jacket potatoes and fresh salads give variety, while the bakery section, including pain au chocolat and well-loved cakes, complements the coffee well. The warm scones served with cream tea stand out for those seeking a comforting traditional treat.

Unhenged’s seating can accommodate casual meet-ups as well as small gatherings, supported by an adjoining hall that’s used for events—making this a versatile part of the community. The nearby bar space adds a bit of flexibility for celebrations or social occasions.

Best visited in the morning to mid-afternoon, especially if you want to enjoy the steady flow of local visitors and avoid the brief rush that comes around 11am. The staff generally create a smooth experience without the noise of larger venues, and the setting encourages taking time over your coffee or a slice of cake.

Anyone in search of a straightforward cafe experience nestled in a village setting—where you can expect solid food, a decent coffee, and plenty of room to relax—will find Unhenged a comfortable stop. It works well for families, cyclists, and casual diners who appreciate a place that feels part of the Marlborough community rather than just a pit stop.

This is such a nice venue with an equally nice atmosphere, it has copious amounts of parking and easy access into the cafe, they have Gluten free cakes on offer and a Gluten free English breakfast, the food is very good and priced reasonably we arrived on our Harley’s which was a real nice ride from Bridgwater. We had a Bacon sandwich which was full of bacon and my mate had a full English which was all he could eat and my other mate had a chilli jacket Potato and salad all of them arrived soon after ordering and tasted really good. The staff are very friendly and serve you promptly. We will return perhaps not on a Wednesday though and with a larger group of Harley rider’s.

I did 18th Birthday Balloon Decor. Great place to hold your event. Good size hall and kitchen is next to it. If you don’t wish to use kitchen and bring your own food, it’s allowed. There is Bar next to the Hall as well. Hall can hold up to 50 people or less. Rectangle tables are available and Chivari chairs. Ample of parking is available. All the staff is lovely !!

Good food, my whole party loved it. Insanely great for being locates in what could be considered a village. I recommend the cheese sandwich + hot chocolate.

On a trip to Avebury Stone Circle, we went here for drinks and cakes rather than give more money to the National Trust. It was a great decision. I had a lovely slice of chocolate cake and my wife had cream tea - and she was delighted when the scones arrived warm. The young people who were serving were friendly, polite and efficient. It's clearly popular with locals as it did fill up towards 11am when we visited, although there was plenty of space as it was a dedicated area inside a larger sports centre. The prices were very reasonable. I think the cafe is run as a non-profit basis although I'm not sure about that point. Definitely recommended and would go again.
